One of the perks of La Suprema Works & Events being located in the lively neighborhood of Barrio Viejo is the easy access to an array of rich local businesses. Some of our favorite ones are within short walking distance! Here are just three (of the many) different businesses that we are proud to call neighbors!
El Minuto Cafe
El Minuto Cafe, a Tucson landmark since 1936. Family-owned for four generations, it’s beloved for authentic Sonoran-style Mexican food. The cozy, Southwestern-decorated dining room serves classics like enchiladas, tamales, and the El Minuto Special plate. Warm service and long-held family recipes give the restaurant a nostalgic, community-rooted charm. Whether you’re stopping in on your lunch break or to prepare for an event, El Minuto Cafe offers a taste of Tucson tradition that has made it a local favorite for nearly ninety years. Community Tip: Try the lunch special Monday-Friday for added value!
Exo Roast Co.
Exo Roast Co. is a specialty coffee roastery-cafe. At Exo, you’ll find house-made, locally sourced ingredients in their granola, sourdough muffins, and southwest inspired baked goods. Signature drinks such as their Mole Dulce Latte or Chitlepin Cold Brew (some of our personal favorites!)!) coupled with a homey and relaxing atmosphere aren’t to be missed. Exo is the perfect, historic space to study, meet, or simply hang out! While Exo has two locations, the one in Barrio Viejo is home to Bar Crisol, offering evening hours, mezcal tastings, and small plates. A perfect place to unwind, relax, and connect whether it’s during work hours or after! Community Tip: Drop-by on weekend mornings for their special vegan soyrizo based burrito (quantities limited, get there early!)
Coronet Cafe
Coronet Cafe has a lot to offer! Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and into evening hours on some days, it also features a small market offering homemade goods, gifts, coffee, and other knick-knacks. Our favorite part of Coronet Cafe is their gorgeous patio. From a delicious morning cup of coffee or a night of romantically lit dining, their patio offers a warm atmosphere, surrounded with greenery and lined with a vibrant red brink. The patio is truly the place to be! Community tip: Don't forget to stop by Nightjar, their cocktail bar after hours!
