Top 5 Tacos in Tucson

Monday, October 4th is National Taco Day and the best way to celebrate is to eat a taco (or four)! There are so many amazing Mexican restaurants in the Tucson area but today we are going to name off the top 5 tacos close to La Suprema.


1. Anita Street Market

With fresh tortillas, it is hard to ignore the amazing food here at Anita Street Market! On their menu they have a variety of food such as burritos, quesadillas, and of course tacos. Located in a Tucson neighborhood off of St. Mary’s, Anita Street Market is surrounded by beautiful murals that will add to your National Taco Day experience!


2. Seis Kitchen

A Name that represents the six culinary regions of Mexico; Northern, Yucatan, Oaxaca, Baja, Mexico City and the West! If you plan on trying some amazing taste for all of Mexico, this is the place. Seis is known for their variety of unique tacos such as the well known Avocado taco which is a Mexican beer-battered avocado in a corn tortilla, topped with cabbage, cilantro, shredded cheese, and house made chipotle creama. 3. Street Taco and Beer Co.

The description is in the name! Street Tacos and Beer Co. have endless taco options as well as churros for a treat. You can get your tacos Street style (onion & cilantro) or Gringo style (lettuce, tomato, and cheese). This restaurant is conveniently located in downtown Tucson!


4. El Minuto Cafe

A classic located in the heart of the Barrio, El Minuto Cafe has an extensive menu of enchiladas, chimichangas, tostadas, and of course can’t forget about them tacos! They have been apart of the neighborhood since 1936 so their roots run deep!


5. La Chingada

La Chingada is a newer restaurant, although their food and street tacos are amazing! The place is beautiful with a small bar and events that are planned to create community. This place is definitely a spot to try out!
