We've been eagerly anticipating an event like this for well over a year now.

When La Suprema Works & Events was just an idea born — cofounders Gina Catalano and Katina Koller pictured happy hours, private parties, mixers, even small, intimate weddings and celebrations taking place in what was once a factory parking lot, neglected and overgrown with weeds.
The transformation of the courtyard at La Suprema Works & Events
When La Suprema opened in May 2020, we were in serious lockdown. In-person events weren't even a consideration for the foreseeable future, even though we had this newly renovated and gorgeous courtyard looking at us — a beautiful private event rental.
Now that we're well into 2021 with a vaccination rollout and declining positive test rate, we're receiving many more inquiries about private events, and heard that some of our friends in the event industry are experiencing the same trend.
During a meeting with our community partners, Professional Bartenders Unlimited, we dreamed up an Event Showcase, hosted in the La Suprema Courtyard. The goal of the event was to host a gathering for professionals in the event industry to network and kick off this new season of events with enthusiasm and support.
Taking place in the La Suprema Courtyard on April 21, the Event Showcase was an evening of event magic. As the Community Manager of La Suprema, I walked around with my clipboard in hand, greeting guests and welcoming them to our coworking and event space. As an extrovert, it was almost euphoric to meet new people in person and connect them with others in the industry. Co-founder Gina Catalano was busy giving tours of the coworking space inside and showing off our intentionally-designed work spaces.
In between greeting guests, I took a moment to soak in the live music by Naim Amor and his band. The twinkle lights and golden hour creating the perfect lighting to enjoy drinks from Professional Bartenders, and incredible food from The Coronet and Sapphire Catering.
And while we're talking about these increible vendors, it's no surprise that hosting an event like this took a village! A true team effort.

Naim Amor + band for setting the mood with their dreamy music. It was the most perfect soundtrack to the evening and just one of the styles Naim and his band perform. You can catch Naim and company at The Coronet for live music on weekends!
